Given that I am pretty much addicted to peanut butter, I’ve admired Pippa Murray, 30, since long before I launched She can. She did. because the Pip & Nut nut butters – shout out to the almond butter in particular – are quite simply, the best. As the company has grown from a market stall business that Pip ran on her weekends to a multi-million pound company now stocked in over 5000 stores UK-wide, it’s safe to say that I’m not the only one that thinks that too!

Having first thought of the concept for Pip & Nut whilst training for a marathon at the age of 24, Pip chats to me about how her role as Founder has evolved throughout the past six years and how she deals with the pressure of being the one in charge as the stakes get higher. She reveals her advice on funding a business, detailing the various methods she used to launch and scale the brand. Plus, we discuss the painful reality that the Brexit vote had on Pip & Nut when Pippa woke up on 26th June 2016 hundreds of thousands of pounds down and how she manages days when the reality of owning a company tests your resilience beyond belief. Not to mention, of course, what down time and self-care looks like for her, her proudest moments along the way plus a whole lot of other bits and bobs thrown in for good measure.

It’s impossible not to respect what Pippa’s pushed through to get to where she is today and as always, I enjoyed every second of our chat…
